LT Apparel Group to Relocate National Distribution Center to Greensboro/Guilford County
Greensboro, N.C. – LT Apparel Group, a New York based leader in design, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution of branded childrenswear apparel, has selected Greensboro and Guilford County as the location for its new state-of-the-art 800,000-square-foot distribution center at the Reedy Fork Corporate Park. LT Apparel Group will invest a minimum of $57 million in capital investments and create a minimum of 116 new jobs at the facility.
Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan said, “On behalf of the Gate City, I want to thank LT Apparel for recognizing Greensboro’s incredible workforce. LT Apparel is an industry leader, and the Reedy Fork Logistics Center is an ideal location for the company’s advanced manufacturing operations.”
The Guilford County Economic Development Alliance, consisting of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and High Point Economic Development Corporation, worked together with the City of Greensboro, Guilford County, Guilford Technical Community College, the Guilford County Workforce Development Board, Duke Energy, The Department of Transportation, Piedmont Natural Gas, North Carolina Department of Commerce, The State of North Carolina, and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina to secure LT Apparel’s investment in Guilford County.
“On behalf of the Guilford County Economic Development Alliance, I would like to thank LT Apparel Group for investing in our community. This latest announcement continues to prove Greensboro and Guilford County as a logistical hotspot for future growth,” said Anita Bachmann, Board Chair of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce.
“We are extremely excited to grow our footprint here in Greensboro.” said Alfred J. Sutton, Vice President of Supply Chain Operations and partner at LT Apparel Group. “We looked at sites across three different states in the Southeast for this distribution operation and continued to come back to the Greensboro community. We have had a design and merchandising team in Greensboro since 2004; the familiarity of this community, along with the support we received from the City of Greensboro, Guilford County, and the other organizations made this a perfect location for our company.”
When asked about the timing of the operation, Sutton said, “We are moving dirt and expect to be operational by fall 2022. We will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony as that date gets closer to celebrate with the community.”
