Chamber Welcomes Simon T. Bailey as Keynote at impact. Leadership Conference


GREENSBORO —The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce welcomed speaker Simon T. Bailey to deliver the keynote address at the impact. Leadership Conference yesterday at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center.


The day-long conference invited community leaders from a variety of industries to learn about organizational culture, inclusive practices, bias, and more.


“It was an honor to hear from so many great speakers from our community and beyond.” said Brent Christensen, President and CEO of the Greensboro Chamber. “There is a history of leadership development in Greensboro, and we’re proud to continue that tradition. This conference grew out of our 40+ year history of leadership training programs including Leadership Greensboro and Other Voices, at the Chamber.”


Garrick Throckmorton, TalentTelligent Chief Product and Services Officer and Principal at Throckmorton Leadership Consulting, led a session titled “What is Culture and Why Should I Care?” Tiffany Tate, CEO and founder of Career Maven Consulting spoke about “Bias at Work: Activating Inclusive Practices.”


Emcee Ivey Ghee, CEO and founder of The Hospitality G moderated the day’s events as well as teaching about “Being a F.E.E.L. Style Leader- Dealing with a “feel-style” generation.”


Attendees included Leadership Greensboro alumni, synerG Young Professionals Leadership Council, and educators from both public and private schools in Guilford County amongst other leading managers from the non-profit and corporate community.
