Hospitality Services Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Chief Hospitality Services Officer and/or Hospitality Services Director, responsible for the day-to-day operation of Ronald McDonald House Family Room and Hospitality Cart programs in Guilford County. Responsibilities include:
Ensuring the Cone Health Family Room, Guilford County Hospitality Carts (located at Cone Health, Atrium Premier, and the Tim and Carolynn Rice Center) are staffed, well-maintained, fully operational, and fully stocked with supplies
Providing accurate Family Room and Hospitality Cart statistics
Assisting with special events and fundraisers
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hospitality Cart Staffing: Helps to staff the Hospitality Cart and Family Rooms if a volunteer and/or substitute is not available. Work closely with the Chief Hospitality Services Officer and other Hospitality Services staff to develop strategies for recruiting, retaining, and recognizing volunteers.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervisor of the Guilford County Hospitality Carts, Family Room volunteers, and the Hospitality Services Coordinator.
- Hospitality Cart Maintenance: Responsible for transporting inventory and supplies for the Hospitality Carts; oversee their cleanliness and conditions; problem solve any issues that arise with guests, volunteers, keys, computers etc.
Record Keeping/Promotion: Gathers Hospitality Cart statistics and is responsible for the accuracy and distribution to the Chief Hospitality Services Officer and/or Hospitality Services Director.
Build and maintain positive relationships with the Volunteer Services staff at partnering hospitals, medical facilities, and local colleges and universities.
Hospital/Medical Facility Liaison: Assists Chief Executive Officer, Chief Hospitality Services Officer, and Hospitality Services Director in developing and maintaining professional and strategic relationships with management in hospitals where Hospitality Carts are located.
Other: Other responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Four-year college degree required.
Two years of experience in volunteer management, customer service or guest relations.
Valid state issued driver’s license.
Guildford County residency required.
Must complete required hospital volunteer requirements, including background check, drug screening and immunization requirements for each hospital that has a Family Room/Hospitality Cart.
Competency of internet-based database systems (example: Exceed Beyond and Volunteer Hub).
Advanced competency of computers with advanced competency in MS Office.
Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Able to perform basic life operational skills of walking, grasping, talking, hearing, standing and repetitive motions.
Able to lift, carry and move objects weighing 30 lbs.
Demonstrate initiative, problem solving ability, critical thinking skills, strong communication skills and diplomacy.
Able to perform duties with minimum direction and supervision.
Demonstrate positive attitude toward guests, donors, volunteers, and others who encounter the House, Family Room and Hospitality Cart.
Demonstrate respect for the privacy and confidentiality of all guests and agency information.
Demonstrate genuine interest in the successful operation of the House, Family Rooms and Hospitality Carts.

Salary Range: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
