The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the NC Department of Labor every other year to host the Safety Awards, an event that acknowledges outstanding private and public firms across the state for their commitment to achieving and sustaining excellent safety records. We will welcome Commissioner of Labor, Josh Dobson, as he shares his congratulations and remarks recognizing the achievements in safety over the past year.

This year we have added a new element featuring a social media campaign to determine two winners for innovative products made in Guilford County. The Made in Guilford Awards were established to celebrate our local makers. Our community is not just the home of a world class workforce, but of products that are known all over the globe or are on the leading edge of their field.  In early 2024 we called for nominations of some of the best products manufactured in Guilford County. We will celebrate the nominees and the winners at this event.

Past event sponsors and corporate tables have included: Berkshire Corporation, Cintas, Honda Aircraft Company, Kirkland, Syngenta, Samet Corporation, Unifi, Novant Health, Century Products, Piedmont Natural Gas, Evonik Superabsorber, and Parker Hannifin. We are also joined by the companies who are receiving safety awards from the Department of Labor. The list of companies to be recognized in 2024 can be found below.
