Why the Fresh Start Collaborative? 

The Fresh Start Collaborative is a dynamic partnership among Triad Goodwill, the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, the Guilford County Reentry Council, and the Department of Health & Human Services, dedicated to reducing hiring stigma and creating opportunities for justice-involved individuals. In 2023 alone, this initiative successfully reduced hiring stigma by 28% among participating employers. By empowering justice-involved individuals with essential resources and career pathways, the Collaborative equips businesses with tools to engage reentry talent effectively. Through innovative approaches such as reentry simulations that foster employer empathy and understanding, the Fresh Start Collaborative strengthens workforce development and drives meaningful community growth.
