Coffee & Conversation 2024

Description

Coffee & Conversation brings together large and small businesses, organizations, and community members. The event combines networking with educational programming, covering a diverse range of topics related to the Chamber's initiatives, such as local agendas, talent development, economic growth, and support for entrepreneurs. Discussions also include city and county-wide initiatives, as well as topics specifically chosen for the community. Participants have the opportunity to share information about their businesses during the networking session, fostering meaningful connections and engagement. Coffee & Conversation serves as a vibrant platform for collective growth, collaboration, and building valuable relationships among attendees from all backgrounds, promoting a stronger and more interconnected business community.

Traditionally occurring every other year, the Intercity Visit is taken to engage in collective community visioning
through best practices and lessons learned from other successful communities. Previous Intercity Visits have led to projects such as the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite, Accelerate Greensboro, Guilford County Schools Career Academies, and more. In 2022, we visited Upstate South Carolina to learn about the BMW effect. We explored city planning, economic growth, minority supplier initiatives, workforce development, and infrastructure while also having some fun experiencing the region.
