UNCG Free Cyber Reviews

Member News

If you run a small business or nonprofit in our community, you likely know your digital security could use a checkup, but you probably don’t have thousands of dollars sitting around to hire a consulting firm. Here is an easy, no-cost way to get that checked off your list while helping out the next generation of local tech talent.

UNCG's Spartan Cyber Guardian program offers free, confidential cybersecurity reviews for small businesses and non-profit organizations. Right now, the program has a waiting list full of eager students who can only participate if we have enough local organizations volunteer to work with them.

What’s in it for you:

*A clear, practical assessment of your current setup—identifying blind spots with basic email security, backups, customer data, and network safety.
*A report with recommendations on areas to improve your security posture.
*An opportunity to engage with the next generation of technical professionals.

What’s in it for the students:

*Real-world experience which is critical for them when entering the industry.
*The chance to earn their course credits and work directly with local organizations.

Whether you operate a small business or a community nonprofit, your participation makes a direct difference for these students.
