BHP State of  the City Address

On Wednesday, July 22, i2E Group had the opportunity to attend the Business High Point Chamber of Commerce’s 10th annual State of the City address which brought together community and municipal leaders to discuss High Point’s continued growth and the opportunities ahead for the city and the broader Triad. The event was held at High Point University’s Qubein Center and featured an update from High Point Mayor Cyril Jefferson, along with perspectives from leaders across the region.

The program also included a panel discussion led by Business High Point President & CEO Rachel Collins. Joining her were Greensboro Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Brent Christensen, FOX8 WGHP anchor Michael Hennessey, and other community leaders who recently traveled to Wichita, Kansas, to examine the city’s aviation and aerospace ecosystem.

Known as the “Air Capital of the World,” Wichita offers an example of how a community can develop a strong aviation industry through long-term investment in education, workforce development, and collaboration. The panel discussed what the Triad can learn from Wichita’s approach as the region continues to strengthen its own aviation and aerospace industries.

One point that stood out was the importance of starting early. Wichita introduces aviation concepts to students beginning at the elementary-school level, helping spark interest in the industry and establish a workforce pipeline that can develop over many years.

The discussion was relevant as i2E Group continues to grow through new hires and customers within the aviation industry. As the Triad strengthens its aviation and aerospace presence, i2E Group looks forward to building on this growth and supporting opportunities across the region.

Vets+Vines July 2026

On July 30, i2E Group attended the Vets+Vines event hosted by Veterans Bridge Home and High Point Veterans Initiative at Potent Tables in Jamestown.

The event provided an opportunity for local business owners, community leaders, and veterans to connect and discuss networking and employment opportunities for veterans in the area.

i2E Group was privileged to participate not only as an attendee but also as one of the featured speakers for the event. Our CEO and Founder, John Weir, spoke about the opportunities available at i2E Group and the company’s continued growth.

Veterans Bridge Home and the High Point Veterans Initiative have been valuable partners in helping i2E Group build connections with veterans and the local veteran community. Veterans Bridge Home has also supported i2E Group’s hiring initiatives directly, connecting i2E with strong candidates, including one individual who has since joined our team and is featured in this quarter’s newsletter.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect with and support the local veteran community and look forward to continuing these partnerships.
