We are looking for Welder/Fabricators, Paint Techs and Body Techs to join a great team.

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, these positions are primarily responsible for welding and fitting, painting or metal work on structural steel components per the shop drawings and details.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Welder/Fabricating in accordance with detail drawings
• Identify all steel sections per AISC manual
• Fabricate steel per drawings in the most efficient manner
• Fill out daily fabrication sheets Move finished material to paint shop
• Check welds for quality
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Be knowledgeable of drawing language and symbols
• Be knowledgeable of steel characteristics
• Be knowledgeable of and proficient in the use of all steel hand working tools
• Have (3) three years of Welde/fabrication or paitn tech and body tech experience
• Have the ability to safely operate overhead bridge cranes of various sizes and load capabilities
• Knowledge of minor welding machine maintenance is helpful
• Knowledge of measuring devices, i.e. tapes, squares and levels

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Be able to work efficiently in temperatures that range from 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Be able to stand, walk and/or climb for long periods of time
• Work in and around work horses (skids) for up to 12 hours a day
• Have the ability to lift and handle object with weights of 80 pounds or more
• Have the ability to push/pull objects with weights of 100 pounds or more
• Have the ability to work at heights above 20 feet when needed
