Community Engagement & Family Partnerships Coordinator
Help Build a School Before the Doors Even Open. 🌹
Solace Rose Innovation Academy (SRIA) is seeking a Community Engagement & Family Partnerships Coordinator to join our extended Founding Team during an exciting stage of our development. Solace Rose is a new K–8 all-girls STEAM public charter school preparing to open in Guilford County in Fall 2028. We will launch with grades K, 1, and 6 and grow into our full K–8 model by 2032. Our model integrates STEAM, project-based learning, leadership development, wellness, identity, and meaningful community partnerships to create a school where girls discover their voices, lead with confidence, and see themselves as innovators and problem-solvers.
About the Role
This is not a traditional school-based family engagement position. Because Solace Rose is still in its pre-opening phase, the Coordinator will help build the community that will eventually welcome our first students.
Working closely with the Founder & Executive Director and Founding Team, the Coordinator will:
*Build authentic relationships with prospective families, community leaders, and organizations.
*Represent Solace Rose at community events and outreach opportunities throughout Greensboro, Guilford County, and the broader Triad.
*Coordinate family coffee chats, listening sessions, STEAM experiences, information sessions, and other community events.
*Cultivate partnerships with nonprofits, faith communities, youth-serving organizations, businesses, colleges and universities, and other community partners.
*Support the development and coordination of the Solace Rose Ambassador Program.
*Help grow family awareness and interest ahead of our Fall 2028 opening.
*Maintain consistent follow-up with families and community partners.
*Track outreach, family engagement, partnerships, and key engagement metrics.
*Help ensure family and community voices inform the development of the school.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is relational, organized, proactive, community-minded, and excited about helping build something from the ground up. Strong candidates will have experience in community or family engagement, partnership development, education, nonprofit work, youth development, communications, outreach, or a related field.
Strong communication, relationship-building, project management, event coordination, and organizational skills are essential. Candidates should be comfortable representing Solace Rose publicly and participating in occasional evening and weekend community events.
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant professional or community-based experience will also be considered.
