This family oriented, free Cinco de Mayo Festival is hosted by La Raza 98.3 FM. The festival marks the victory of Mexican forces over the French in the Battle of Puebla more than 160 years ago. The event features internationally known Mexican regional bands and cultural dances. There is entertainment throughout the day, authentic Mexican food, clown show, and family activities including a children's 'Fun Zone” and Norsan Media activations. The festival is free and open to people of all backgrounds and ages. The festival attracts thousands of attendees to the Greensboro Coliseum, a well known performance facility amongst the Hispanics in Greensboro and surrounding areas.
